No prior experience is required. Our youth beach volleyball camps are designed for all levels - from complete beginners learning the basics, to players with experience who want to sharpen their skills. We group athletes by age and ability, so every camper is challenged at the right level and supported by our experienced coaches.
Every camper should bring a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, towel, and athletic beachwear appropriate for playing in the sand. We recommend labeling personal items. -Half day (9AM-12PM) campers may also want a light snack. -Full-day (9AM-3PM) campers should bring a packed lunch, as afternoons include activities at the ocean in addition to volleyball training.
For most locations, Beach Volleyball runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. At select locations, we also offer an all-day option from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, which includes morning Beach Volleyball and afternoons spent at the ocean with fun activities. Please check your location page for your available times.
We keep our groups small, so every athlete gets attention and stays safe. Our typical camper-to-coach ratio is 8:1, depending on age and skill level. This ensures individualized feedback, plenty of reps, and strong supervision during all activities.
Look for Beach Volleyball Camps tents at your registered location. Each confirmation email includes your locations information. Camp staff will be there to greet families, confirm registration, and make sure campers are ready for the day.
Yes - all of our coaches are required to be CPR and First Aid certified before they step on the court. In addition, every coach must pass a background check as part of our safety standards. We only allow coaches to begin working once these requirements are fully completed.
At our Southern California beach volleyball camps, we take sun safety seriously. We provide shaded tents, encourage frequent water breaks, and remind campers to reapply sunscreen throughout the day. On especially hot days, schedules may adjust for safety. (Weather decisions are always made by BVC)
Most camp communication is sent by email after registration. This includes your confirmation, medical waiver link, and a reminder that your camp week is approaching. Before your camp begins, we send a Welcome Email with all the details for your specific location and week of camp. If you don't receive any of these emails, please check your spam or junk folder first. If it's still missing, please contact us directly so we can resend it.
